But to get more accurate information, the thermostat has to be installed in the right spot. Otherwise, it leads to “ghost readings”, which can cause your heating or air conditioning system to either operate too often or not enough. This, in turn, puts unnecessary strain on the HVAC system, resulting in uneven performance and increased energy consumption.
Where Should You Position Your Thermostat?
The thermostat should be installed in a room that you and your family often use, such as the living room, or at a central location, where there’s free air movement. Make sure the device is placed on an interior wall, not an exterior one.
